Where vaca in the mountains?

My boyfriend and I want to go to the mountains for our anniversary / Christmas / his bday in December. We live Florida and have never seen a mountain before. We want to go somewhere beautiful, with much to do as possible, snow tubing, zip lines, caves .. assets, there is something to offer, on top of the ski course. We are open to anywhere, really, but try to keep flight prices down so that we can do more there is that which excludes the West Virginia for us. Any ideas on a good place to go, Nice and romantic place stay? pleasee let me know!

I recommend the Great Smoky Mountains. It's close-Tennessee! There is much to do, especially in the park if you want snow and there is none, go to Ober Gatlinburg. You can ski, snow tube, and a sled there. In parks, you can hike back beautiful waterfalls, ancient villages, and have the chance to see wild life. They have several caves nearby – The Forbidden Caverns and Tuckaleechee Caverns. You can go lining zip, and Zorb is always pleasant. If you're not familiar with Zorb is a huge plastic ball that mounted inside and down the hillside or a steep hill. They also have horseback riding, cycling, and they even amusement parks nearby. Gatlinburg is one of my favorite vacation spots. My family has been vacationing here since I was a little girl. I have some advice if you choose Gatlinburg: Rent a cottage near the main street. The city itself can be a little busy and it is very tourist oriented. It's worth it just for the beauty of the mountain.
