This book is designed for people who can ski but want to improve. It takes the skier from the snowplough to parallel skiing and deals with moguls, powder, and ice. On the way it discusses safety, techniques, equipment and etiquette, and it does all of this with a touch of humour. It is intended to be an easy read rather than a dour instruction manual, and tries to cut through the hype and pseudo sophistication that is sometimes associated with skiing.
Dave Southall has been skiing for over thirty five years and has, in that time helped a good many people from the first faltering steps through to competent parallel skiing. He spends each winter with his wife of 49 years, in Morillon France, skiing the grand Massif.
