what is the cheapest way to get 2 pairs of skis in Colorado?

Ok, so for Christmas my sister and I are going skiing in Colorado and we want take our skis with us instead of renting. It will probably take a train unless its cheaper to fly. was thought to send me first so they are already there. but we do not know how much it would be. We have a budget of about $ 300 for two round-trip plane / train tickets and get our skis on the market. Please have references or have experience. we most likely will be released of sryacuse, New York by train or Elmira, New York by plane.
