Skiing vs. snowboarding question! an idea please

I skiied down for the first time last winter, and absolutely loved it. I took a lesson where I learned the basics and went to the chairlift for a beginner "green" and skiied down slope several times. I learned more about shooting, but I did not go as far to use poles. I definitely want to try skiing again this winter and progress, but I also really want to try snowboarding. Would it be better to continue to advance in ski before I tried snowboarding? Also, it can become a skier (or surfer) if I can now do so during the winter holidays (and must travel to get to a mountain)? thank you very much!

Quite possible to become a very accomplished rider. You need to learn muscle memory and day to day activity you will learning faster than one lesson this week and another lesson in 2 weeks and no snow on the time between the two. Take lessons in one or others and stay with it until you have reasonable skills, then try the other way the same. Take lessons and practice. Do balance exercises before going to the slope also dance step soccer and touch drill, jump rope and go. All this will improve your balance and foot / body coordination. For skiing, you can buy your own shoes and make sure they fit correctly. Tight around the foot and ankle, foot bed is critical. Your learning curve is typical of my beginning students, a course in 2 hours you will be riding the chair Green and fun. I do not favor the poles until the 3rd lesson. Have fun. Wear a helmet.
